THE TANKS AT BUSHWICK INLET PARK
The Tanks at Bushwick Inlet Park is an award-winning urban design proposal for adaptive reuse on the Brooklyn waterfront. The project proposed to preserve and breathe new life into ten decommissioned oil tanks, with uses such as greenhouses, performance spaces, and oyster habitats.
Scope entailed guiding creative vision for the project and overseeing the design team in these efforts. To build public support and awareness, we produced a series of events including a design display of over 300 attendees. The Tanks received a AIANY Design Award, AIANYS Award, Architizer A+ Popular Choice Award, and Architect’s Newspaper Best of Design Award.
